About

I have lived abroad for many years. During this time, I have had the opportunity to look at Türkiye from the outside, see what people from different countries are curious about, and view the country’s cultural, historical and geographical diversity from a different perspective. I have also taken part in various projects through outsourced agencies for companies including IBM, Microsoft, Apple, Google, Coinbase and GoDaddy. These international experiences have given me the chance to work with different systems, cultures and ways of thinking, and they have also influenced how I approach this project.

For a long time, I had been thinking about creating a comprehensive English-language project about Türkiye. I created Explore Türkiye from this idea.

I want to introduce Türkiye’s cities, districts, towns, villages, natural landscapes, coastlines, historic sites, culture, food, regional products and different parts of the country to people from around the world.

The main reason I created the site in English is exactly this. I want to build a resource where international visitors looking for information about Türkiye can discover not only the best-known tourist destinations, but also different regions and lesser-known places across the country.

In this project, I do not want to focus only on places such as Istanbul, Cappadocia, Antalya or Ephesus. I also want to cover small settlements, highlands, coastlines, natural areas, historic buildings, regional products, local food, seasonal experiences and different travel routes. My aim is to show that Türkiye is not limited to a few well-known tourist centres, but has a much broader geographical and cultural diversity.

I prepare Explore Türkiye independently. I am not affiliated with any tourism company, travel agency, public institution or official organisation. I do not offer hotel, tour or booking services. I prepare the content primarily to provide information and to build a comprehensive discovery resource about Türkiye.

I use AI-supported technologies during the research, preparation, editing and development of the written content. I also create the images used on the site with artificial intelligence or edit them using AI and other digital tools. I try to ensure that the content is relevant, clear, well organised and based on information that is as accurate as possible.

I do not want this project to remain only a website prepared from behind a desk. Whenever possible, I want to visit different parts of Türkiye myself, see these places, photograph them and gradually add my own observations, experiences and photographs to the site.

I see Explore Türkiye as a continuously developing project. As I expand the site, I will continue adding new cities, districts, villages, natural areas, historic places, beaches, food, regional products, routes and different cultural topics. I also plan to improve and expand the existing content over time.

My main aim with this project is to introduce Türkiye’s natural, historical, cultural and geographical diversity to people around the world in a clear, organised and accessible way, while bringing together a wide range of information about the country in one place.
